Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Silent Hill 2 Remake Launching This Year

Exciting PlayStation Promotional Video Reveals Upcoming Game Releases

PlayStation has recently unveiled a promotional video to showcase some of the highly anticipated games that are set to grace its console in the coming year. In addition to generating buzz around both first and third-party releases, the video has also discreetly confirmed 2024 release dates for two previously unspecified projects.

The two games in question, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2, have long been the subject of speculation without any definitive launch windows. However, the video and the corresponding announcement on the PlayStation Blog have officially cemented these titles as part of the 2024 lineup. This subtle confirmation comes as a surprise, especially considering that the news did not receive the fanfare typically associated with high-profile game releases. Nevertheless, this update will undoubtedly be received as welcome news for fans eagerly anticipating the release of these games.

Silent Hill 2 Remake

First announced in 2022, Silent Hill 2 is a remake of the 2001 classic and is currently in development by Bloober Team. The studio has recently announced that the progress on the game is moving forward seamlessly. Furthermore, it has been revealed that Silent Hill 2 will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive, with a simultaneous release on PC.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Remake

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the iconic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Originally unveiled during a PlayStation Showcase last May, the game has garnered considerable attention from fans. Konami, the developer behind the remake, had previously provided the first in-engine gameplay footage in October. Interestingly, despite its feature in the recent PlayStation video, it is important to note that Snake Eater will also be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
