Certain Monster Hunter Rise DLCs will be removed – PlayerAuctions Blog

Monster Hunter Rise has announced that the time has come to remove the Sonic the Hedgehog and Universal Studios Japan DLCs from the game. So, if you still want to get these fun extras, you’ll need to act fast. Here’s everything you need to know:

 Which Collabs Are Ending?

Last year, Capcom announced that they would be delisting three collaborations from Monster Hunter Rise. This means new players won’t be able to download the collaborations, but existing players who already have them can still enjoy the DLCs. The collaborations being removed are:

Sonic the Hedgehog

  • Event Quest: Gotta Hoard Fast! – “Sonic Costume” Palico layered armor, “Canyne Tails” Canyne layered armor, Sonic Figurine, Knuckles Figurine, and Tails Figurine.
  • Even Quest: Super Shady Look-alike – “Sonic Wear” Hunter layered armor.

Universal Studio Japan

  • Even Quest: USJ – Shrine Showdown! – “Azure Star Blade I” Hunter weapon, “Azure Era Wyrmbow I” Hunter weapon, and “Azure Age” Hunter armor set
  • Event Quest: USJ – Arzuros Onslaught! – “Azure Era” Palico armor set, “F Azure Era Fan” Palico weapon, “Azure Era” Canyn armor set, and “C Azure Era Wyrmblade” Canyn weapon.
  • Downloadable Palico: MEOW LIMIT!

Sengan-en

  • Downloadable Palico: Yasu

All of these collaborations will be available for players to grab until January 21, 2023. After this date, they will be gone forever. It’s also worth noting that even if you downloaded the content before, you won’t be able to re-download them. This delisting of collab is a sign that MHR is starting to wind down on its updates.

What to Expect from Monster Hunter Rise Moving On

Monster Hunter Rise has consistently added new content since its release, with a variety of DLCs to enhance the gameplay experience. The game’s most recent expansion, Sunbreak, introduced new monsters, areas, and additional content for players to enjoy. However, with the end of the Sunbreak content cycle, it appears that Monster Hunter Rise is beginning to wrap up its updates.

While there won’t be any further in-game digital collaborations, Monster Hunter Rise has recently entered a crossover collaboration with Raid Shadow Legends. This collaboration will introduce five new champions to Raid Shadow Legends, based on various elements from Monster Hunter Rise.

Furthermore, with the upcoming release of Monster Hunter Wilds, it’s clear that Monster Hunter Rise is transitioning to a new phase. The release of Monster Hunter Wilds will bring a sequel to Worlds while adopting some of Rise’s most popular features.

What Do We Know About Monster Hunter Wilds?

Following the announcement of Monster Hunter Wilds, both Monster Hunter Worlds and Rise have experienced a surge in their player base. While specific details about Wilds are yet to be released, many players are speculating that it will be a direct sequel to Worlds, incorporating popular features from Rise. There is also anticipation around the possibility of Wilds being an open-world game, marking a new direction for the franchise.

Make sure to download the collabs before the January 21 deadline and stay tuned for the latest Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Wilds updates.
