Sand Land is releasing on PC and consoles this April, Bandai Namco confirms

Sand Land, the highly-anticipated action role-playing game based on the popular manga series created by Akira Toriyama, the mastermind behind Dragon Ball, is officially scheduled for release this coming April.

The game, entitled Sand Land, is slated to launch on April 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S, so fans won’t have to wait much longer. It follows the main characters from the manga series, Beelzebub (the son of Lucifer, king of demons), Thief (Beelzebub’s demon companion), and Rao (an old human sheriff), as they embark on a quest to locate the Legendary Spring in order to end a drought that is wreaking havoc on the world.

Even for those unfamiliar with the manga series, the game’s stunning art style truly shines through in video-game form. Developed by ILCA, the team behind 2023’s critically acclaimed One Piece Odyssey, and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game has garnered much excitement. You can catch a glimpse of the latest trailer below.

Additionally, a recent PlayStation blog post (published on January 11) unveiled more details about the vehicles showcased in the trailer – the Hovercar and Hovertank. The Hovercar is designed for traversing rough terrain and hazardous areas like quicksand, while the Hovertank is more combat-oriented, equipped with powerful long-range weaponry.

Players will also have the ability to customize their vehicles with different engines, suspensions, secondary weapons, skins, and decals to personalize their appearance. Those who pre-order the game will receive three camouflage vehicle skins as a bonus.

Pre-orders are currently open, offering prospective players the option to choose between the standard edition and the pricier Deluxe and Collector’s editions. The Deluxe edition, priced at $69.99/£69.99, includes extra downloadable content, such as two-room furniture sets, a decal set, and the ‘Speed Demon Pack’ containing consumables and tank weapons.

Meanwhile, the Collector’s edition boasts all of the aforementioned bonuses, along with a 20cm Figuarts figure of Beelzebub, a steelbook, and postcard set, all packaged in an exclusive box. It is available for $129.99/€139.99 through the Bandai Namco Store.
