What to do after completing the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet epilogue

The game is over! Well, not quite, there are still some things to do. Here is everything you can do after completing the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet epilogue.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: What to do after completing the epilogue

Typically, when you finish a Pokémon game’s story, the amount of content left to experience and complete is vast. Some would say that the real Pokémon game starts after finishing the main storyline. Both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and its DLCs fit the bill perfectly, but the epilogue – considering its epilogue nature – has less content than its predecessors. However, there are still a bunch of things you can do before reaching 100% completion. Here is everything you can do after completing the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet epilogue.

Face Arven, Penny, and Nemona, again

If you have played a bunch of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you know that you can battle Special Coaches you invite to the League Club. You will then receive a special reward and the opportunity to trade Pokémon. Well, the epilogue featured Arven, Penny, and Nemona as big encounters thanks to the Mochi Mayhem, so you can visit Arven and Penny at Mossui Town and Nemona at Loyalty Plaza to battle them as the last three Special Coaches in the game. Just be sure to level up your Pokémon because these will be hard battles.

Complete your Pokédex

Now, you don’t get one Pokédex to complete, but three: the Paldea Pokédex, the Kitakami Pokédex, and the Blueberry Pokédex. Getting all Pokémon for each of them or even creating a vivarium is a great achievement for Pokémon veterans, and chances are you are missing a couple of them. Go ahead and visit Paldea, Kitakami, and the Blueberry Academy to get all Pokémon! Yeah, you have to do some trading as well.

Go Legendary Hunting

And since we are talking about Pokémon, we cannot ignore the most iconic Pokémon of the bunch: Legendaries. Since this will take a lot of Blueberry Quest completions for The Indigo Disk content, you are sure signed up for quite a journey. Hopefully, those Snacksworth tips are worth the while!

Catch some Shiny Pokémon

While Legendaries are rare enough, Shiny Pokémon are even rarer. I mean, it all depends on RNG and there’s a chance you will never see a particular Shiny Pokémon ever. Or maybe that’s me. Anyway, attempting to catch all Shiny Pokémon will surely take a considerable amount of time, so be sure to craft up some Shiny Sandwiches and you will be good to go. Or at least better than not eating any. I might as well eat one, I’ll be right back.

Train the perfect Pecharunt

Completing the newly released epilogue will reward you with the only Mythical Pokémon for the ninth Pokémon generation: Pecharunt. Make the best out of its Poison Puppeteer ability as well as its unique Malignant Chain attack. Terastallize it as a Fairy type and you will get rid of its default weaknesses and substantially improve its defenses.
