PS Plus Loses Ace Combat 7 and More Soon

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is set to leave the PlayStation Plus lineup next month, so be sure to grab it while it’s still free with your subscription.

Ace Combat 7 is one of several games leaving PS Plus next month

Originally released in 2019, Ace Combat 7 marked the return of Bandai Namco’s popular combat flight simulation series to its fictional setting of Strangereal, following three spinoffs set in a real-world environment. True to form, the game combines realistic aircraft with fantastical sci-fi elements and was the first mainline release in the series in over a decade.

In addition to Ace Combat 7, several other titles will also be leaving the PS Plus lineup next month. These include Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7, Capcom’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, as well as other indie games with unique gameplay experiences.

Resident Evil 7, released in 2017, marked a shift in the franchise with a first-person perspective and a greater emphasis on horror over action. On the other hand, Tekken 7, released in 2017, introduced new features to make the game more accessible to newcomers while continuing the series’ long-running story.

Other games departing from PS Plus next month include Tacoma, Thomas Was Alone, Oninaki, Lost Sphear, I Am Setsuna, Hue, and Lost Words: Beyond the Page. Each of these titles offers a distinct gaming experience, from walking simulators to retro-inspired JRPGs and puzzle platformers.
