How to Unlock More Palworld Bases

When you first start playing Palworld, you only have access to one base; however, after a few hours of playtime, you can unlock the ability to establish a second and third base, each with its own Palbox. You’ll need to upgrade your beginning base to level 10 to unlock your second Palworld base, and the third base becomes available after reaching base level 15. To level up your base, you must build larger and better items to meet the level-up criteria.

The Premier Mining Base Spot in Palworld

The prime mining base location in Palworld can be found in the center of the map, just below the snowy mountains. You can pinpoint its exact location on the map above. Here, you’ll find numerous ore veins, coal deposits, and stone nodes ready to be harvested. There’s a fast travel location just a short distance to the west of this area (near the Vaelet Alpha Pal boss arena), making it easily accessible if you’ve already explored that part of the map.

Since this area is brimming with mining resource nodes, it naturally sits atop a hill. However, with a flying Pal or a decent mount, reaching it shouldn’t pose much of a challenge. Keep in mind that it’s considerably north of the initial starting spawn area, meaning you may need to level up your Pals and craft some decent gear before heading up there to establish a base. Nevertheless, the time investment is worthwhile, as there are no other spots on the map with as much coal and ore.

Remember that you cannot expand your base radius in Palworld, so be sure to place your Palbox in a location that grants you access to all the nodes in the area. Your Pals won’t harvest from resource nodes outside the glowing blue line marking your base’s boundaries, so aim to include as many nodes as possible within your Palbox’s range.

Optimal Early Game Mining Base Location in Palworld

If you’re not adequately equipped to venture to the previously mentioned map section, there’s another excellent mining base location for early-game Palworld players that’s a stone’s throw from the initial starting area. In the small red zone near Rayne Syndicate Tower, there’s a Desolate Church that looks like it was taken straight out of Elden Ring. There’s a fast travel point there and a Lifmunk Effigy inside, making a visit to this church advisable.

At the front of the church, there are numerous large ore deposits. Building a base here ensures a continuous supply of Ingots, allowing you to craft the best weapons and armor for yourself and your Pals. While there’s no stone or coal, the abundance of ore deposits more than compensates. It’s also situated in a forest, so adding Lumbering Pals to the mix provides a steady supply of wood alongside ore.

While there are several other spots to establish mining bases in Palworld, these two locations are among the best. If you have a surplus of Pals in your Palbox after capturing for the XP bonuses, why not put them to work at a mining camp, saving yourself from any manual labor?
