Persona 3 Reload Receives Critical Acclaim

The long-awaited remake of Persona 3, Persona 3 Reload, was finally released last week and has been met with positive critical acclaim. While it stays true to the original role-playing game, there are some notable changes that have been made.

One of the most significant changes is the increased focus on the mysterious antagonistic group, Strega. The developers have made quality-of-life improvements and tweaked the battle system, but the portrayal of Strega has been given more depth and prominence in the story.

In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Persona team general producer Kazuhisa Wada confirmed that he had always wanted to delve deeper into the Strega group. “Something I had wanted to do since we had made the original Persona 3, but never got around to – I wanted to increase the portrayal of the Strega,” Wada revealed.

He further explained, “They are a very fascinating and puzzling group of enemies, so I wanted to make sure that their backbone and ideology were conveyed, and I wanted our fans to feel the catharsis of the story by digging deeper into the theme.”

It’s clear that the changes made in the remake were not taken lightly by Atlus. Wada emphasized that the developers were extremely careful about the areas to be changed and how to adjust them.

Despite some criticism, Persona 3 Reload has been well-received by fans old and new. While the game has received praise for its gorgeous visuals and improvements, there have been some concerns as well. The removal of Persona 3 Portable’s female protagonist has been a point of contention, as it was felt that the character’s inclusion should have been standard rather than a bonus feature.
