Upcoming Metroidvania Sequel Announced

During last week’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 action Metroidvania, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knight, was revealed. The new game, titled Ender Magnolia: Bloom of the Mist, was showcased in an initial trailer with a vague 2024 launch window. However, players can look forward to experiencing it earlier as it is set to hit Steam Early Access on March 26.

Explore the Land of Fumes

Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist continues the dark fantasy universe of Ender Lilies but this time, players will be immersed in the magically saturated Land of Fumes. A mind-bending toxin has been unleashed from the magic-infused soil, and deadly Homunguli now roam the land. Players will take on the role of Lilac, an “Attunder” with the power to cleanse Homunguli, in order to save the day. Check out the captivating new trailer for the game below.

Similar to its predecessor, Ender Magnolia is a Metroidvania where Lilac is accompanied by a powerful entity called a Spirit Reaper. This companion is responsible for eliminating enemies, absorbing their abilities, and adding them to your arsenal. Players will embark on a sprawling 2D adventure, uncovering hidden collectibles, gear, and items to enhance their abilities and prepare for challenging boss battles.

Early Access Details

While the duration of Ender Magnolia’s Early Access period remains uncertain, it is worth noting that Ender Lilies also underwent a successful Early Access phase.
