This new record surpasses the previous one of 34.2 million users and demonstrates the continued growth of Steam’s user base. The platform’s concurrent user counts started to rise during the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 and have continued to climb since then.

Popular games like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, and Helldivers 2 have all attracted large numbers of players, with Counter-Strike 2 alone boasting 1.4 million concurrent players in the last 24 hours. Other titles like Naraka: Bladepoint, Palworld, and Last Epoch have also seen significant player engagement, with over 200,000 concurrent users each.
