Steam Breaks Concurrent User Record Again
Steam has once again shattered its own concurrent user record, reaching a new peak of 36.3 million players. This surpasses the previous record of 34,649,583 players set just two weeks ago.
According to SteamDB, 11.5 million of these users were actively playing games at the time, while the rest were either logged in or idle. This milestone not only showcases Steam’s massive audience but also highlights the enduring popularity of PC gaming.
Despite the lack of any major game launches or events, millions of players continue to flock to their favorite games on Steam. Titles like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, and Helldivers 2 remain incredibly popular, with concurrent player peaks reaching impressive numbers.
Interestingly, Palworld, which recently set records of its own, has dropped to eleventh place this week, as established titles hold strong in the top ten rankings.
Top Games by Concurrent Players:
- Counter-Strike 2 – 1.4 million
- Dota 2 – 725,000
- PUBG – 707,000
- Apex Legends – 434,000
- Helldivers 2 – 458,000
Other titles like Naraka: Bladepoint, Rainbow Six Siege, GTA 5, and Baldur’s Gate 3 round out the top ten, showcasing the diverse range of games that players are enjoying on the platform.
