“A Beggar’s Tale” is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that takes place in Vernworth, one of the major hubs. As you venture through the city, you’ll come across Albert, a beggar, who captures the attention of passerby with his tales and stories. Your task is to uncover how this beggar makes his living.


How to Follow the Beggar in ‘A Beggar’s Tale’

To begin the quest, observe Albert during the day, and as the sun sets, follow him to Walter’s Tavern and eventually to his house in the Common Quarter. Wait for him to change his outfit, then go inside his house and retrieve the Beggar’s Garb. This will unveil two quest markers on your map.

Your decision regarding the Beggar’s Garb will impact the quest’s outcome. You have three choices: give it back to Albert, give it to Celina, or give it to Hilda, each with its consequences and rewards.

  • If you give the Beggar’s Garb back to Albert, he will reward you with 5,000 gold and 900 XP.
  • If you give the Beggar’s Garb to Celina, you will be rewarded with 3,000 gold, one Noonbloom, and 900 XP after a dark turn of events.
  • If you give the Beggar’s Garb to Hilda, you will receive three Onyx stones and 900 XP as your reward.
