How to Make Friends in AFK Journey
Before we dive in, it’s important to note that being on the same server as your friends is crucial in adding them on AFK Journey. Let’s break down how the servers function and then explore the steps to find your friends.
Start by tapping the icon on the top left corner of your screen (shown above). Then, click on the Cog and navigate to the ‘Others’ tab.
Choose ‘Character Switch,’ and you’ll see your server displayed next to your character name. For instance, my server is S70, and I also have a character on PTR10.
If you’re on the same server as your friend, tap the ‘three line’ button located in the bottom right corner to access the main menu. Select ‘Friends’ and hit the ‘Add new friends now!’ button. You can either enter your friend’s account number to add them or select from the suggested players with the green button in the middle.
How to Locate Your Account Number in AFK Journey
To find your account number, tap the icon on the top left of the main screen, and your unique account number will be shown at the bottom. You can copy this number by clicking on the small ‘copy’ icon next to it and paste it wherever needed.
Is Server Switching Possible in AFK Journey?
As of now, it’s not possible to switch servers on AFK Journey. This limitation implies that if you and your friends are on different servers, one of you will need to create a new character. Unfortunately, progress cannot be transferred, and starting anew is the only option.
You can create a new character from the Character Switch menu and select the server for that character. Keep in mind that this choice is permanent, so ensure it matches your friends’ servers.
The strict server settings in AFK Journey may seem puzzling, as sharing your server details becomes necessary to play together. We hope to see changes in this system in the future.
Despite the social features constraints, AFK Journey boasts a diverse character roster and an easy-to-follow gameplay loop. While some characters may outshine others, you can navigate through the early stages of the game with any character.
