Hey Xbox Insiders! A new Xbox Update Preview is rolling out to the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring today.
It’s worth noting that these preview OS builds contain background improvements to ensure a stable and high-quality build for Xbox consoles. We will continue to provide release notes, even if the changes are minimal or behind-the-scenes, so you’re informed about upcoming updates on your device.

- Available: 2 p.m. PT – April 5, 2024
- Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – April 6, 2024
Fixes Included
Thanks to the invaluable feedback from Xbox Insiders and the dedication of Xbox engineers, we are pleased to announce the following fixes implemented in this build:
Games
- Fixes to address unexpected behavior when saving game data in certain titles.
Rewards
- Resolved an unexpected error that could occur when attempting to change your auto-redeem selection without canceling the existing one first.
System
- Various updates to accurately reflect local languages across the console.
Known Issues
While known issues may have been listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes, please know that they are not being overlooked. The Xbox engineers are actively working to find solutions. If you encounter any of these issues, follow the guidance provided and submit feedback through Report a Problem.
Audio
- Some users have reported intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps.
Capture & Share
- We have received reports of unexpected behavior when viewing HDR screenshots in the Captures app, and we are investigating.
Networking
- We are investigating reports of a network connectivity issue upon console boot-up. If you experience this, report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as possible.
OneGuide
- Some users have reported issues with OneGuide, including failure to launch, freezing, or encountering a black screen, and we are investigating.
