While the final game will support multiple languages, the beta will only be playable in English and Simplified Chinese.

“We couldn’t be more excited to finally share this with you!” the team shared on Twitter.

“Return to the unforgiving Frostlands and get a taste of our ambitious sequel where, in addition to the struggle for survival, you’ll confront a new and dangerous adversary: human nature and its unending desire for power. The Beta includes a segment of the sandbox mode known as the Utopia Builder Preview.”

To gain access to the beta, 11 bit recommends pre-ordering the deluxe edition of the game, currently available at a 10% discount off the regular price. Be sure to review the system requirements before diving in.

Frostpunk 2 is set to release for PC on 25th July, and will also be available on PC Games Pass at launch. While there is no news yet on the console version, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass upon its release. Once again, players will be challenged with constructing a city to withstand the elements and manage the various threats that their civilization encounters, now three decades after the original game.
