Hey Xbox Insiders!
We are excited to announce a new Xbox Update Preview releasing to the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring today.
It’s important to note that these preview OS builds may include background improvements to ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles. We will continue to provide release notes, even if the changes to the UI are minimal or behind the scenes, so you stay informed about updates coming to your device.

System Update Details
- OS Version: XB_FLT_2408GE26100.1522.240409-2000
- Available: 2 p.m. PT – April 12, 2024
- Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – April 13, 2024
Fixes Included
Thanks to the feedback from Xbox Insiders and the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are pleased to announce that the following fixes have been implemented with this build:
System
- Various stability and performance fixes.
- Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console.
Known Issues
While known issues may have appeared in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes, rest assured that they are being addressed. It may take some time for the Xbox engineers to find a solution. If you encounter any of these issues, please follow the provided guidance and submit feedback using Report a Problem.
Audio
- Some users have reported intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues, make sure your TV and all other equipment have the latest firmware installed. If unsure, contact the manufacturer for assistance. Additional troubleshooting tips can be found here.
Capture & Share
- We have received reports of unexpected behavior when viewing HDR screenshots in the Captures app, and we are investigating.
Controllers
- We are aware that the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 paddles remain active without an active profile, and we are working on a fix.
- We are investigating an issue affecting 3.5mm joysticks used with the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
Entertainment Apps
- Some users are experiencing playback failures when streaming content in certain apps, and we are investigating.
Networking
- We are investigating reports of a network connection issue upon console boot. If you experience this, report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as possible.
OneGuide
- Some users have reported issues with OneGuide failing to launch or freezing shortly afterward, and we are investigating.
Parties & Chats
- Some users are experiencing issues with party chat and hearing one another, and we are working on a fix.
