Many Of Square Enix’s Best Games Are Steeply Discounted For Golden Week

Green Man Gaming Golden Week Sale

Green Man Gaming is celebrating the Japanese Golden Week Festival with a massive sale this week. While there are discounts on games from various publishers, some of the best deals are for Square Enix RPGs, featuring many of the company’s recent top releases.

Two standout deals include Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, both at a 60% discount for GMG XP members. Final Fantasy VII Remake is the first installment of the planned trilogy that revamps the iconic 1997 RPG into a modern 3D action RPG while incorporating characters and lore from subsequent FFVII spinoffs. The PC version is available for just $28 (originally $70) at GMG.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, a remaster of the original PSP game, serves as a prequel to both the classic FFVII and the remake trilogy. While not part of the core remake trilogy, Reunion enhances Crisis Core’s gameplay and graphics to align more closely with FFVII Remake. Featuring the same voice actors as the Remake trilogy, Reunion offers a cohesive experience with the new version of FFVII. You can purchase it for $20 (originally $60) at GMG.

Note that to unlock the full 60% discounts, you must be a GMG XP member. While becoming a member is free, unlocking the additional savings requires an initial $1 purchase. Alternatively, Humble Bundle also offers both games at a 50% discount, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.

Both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion are must-haves for players anticipating the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the recently launched second part of the remake trilogy (currently exclusive to PS5).

Additional Square Enix Deals

While Final Fantasy VII discounts are the main attractions of GMG’s Golden Week sales, there are many other enticing Square Enix deals available. Discounts are available for almost every mainline Final Fantasy title and various spinoffs such as Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and World of Final Fantasy. Prices are lowest for GMG XP members, and many games are also on sale at Humble Bundle.
