How to Successfully Complete the Helping Hand Task in Gray Zone Warfare

Embarking on the Helping Hand mission in Gray Zone Warfare can prove to be quite challenging, as the game’s worst enemy is not the local militia or various ailments, but the RNG itself. Here is a guide on how to enter the attic room and successfully complete the Helping Hand task.

When undertaking the Helping Hand task, provided by Handshake, one of Gray Zone Warfare’s vendors, your objective is to uncover evidence of who is leaking information to the local militia. This will lead you to the abandoned restaurant in town, which serves as a meeting point for this illicit activity.

Prepare yourself for a significant presence of local militia near the restaurant. Although the location is close to the town’s entrance, it is situated at a corner, leaving you vulnerable to attacks from multiple angles. Ensure you have sufficient weaponry, ammunition, and medical supplies before approaching the area.

Finding the Attic Key

Upon clearing the area of militia forces, gaining access to the restaurant, and making your way upstairs, you will encounter a closed attic door. To proceed, you must locate the key to the attic, which is randomly placed and can only be retrieved from the bodies of fallen militia members in the vicinity. Exercise caution, as the soldiers may respawn unexpectedly and jeopardize your mission.

Once you secure the attic key, return to the second floor of the restaurant and utilize the key to unlock the attic door. Inside, retrieve the Intelligence Folder, then make your way back to your Main Base to deliver it to Handshake.

Undoubtedly, the most challenging aspect of this task is locating the key. Depending on your luck, the search may take a few minutes or even up to half an hour, accompanied by multiple setbacks and potential character deaths. Nevertheless, once you accomplish the mission, you will be rewarded with the following items:
