Understanding Vehicle Damage in Men of War 2
When operating military vehicles in the heat of battle, it’s important to remember that they are not indestructible. Enemy fire can cause significant damage to your tanks and other vehicles in Men of War 2. Unlike other real-time strategy games, Men of War 2 provides detailed information on the status of your vehicle after it has been hit. You can easily identify the specific areas where your vehicle has been damaged and assess whether it is in critical condition or not.
This information is conveniently displayed at the bottom left corner of the screen, next to the mini-map. Depending on the extent of the damage, your vehicle may lose functionality, such as the ability to fire or move. However, the crew inside your vehicle is not limited to combat duties alone.
Repairing Your Tank and Vehicles in Men of War 2
If your vehicle sustains damage during combat, a wrench icon will indicate that repairs are needed. By clicking on the icon or using the Alt+R shortcut, you can initiate the repair process. Ensure that you have repair kits in your vehicle’s inventory, as one crew member will exit the vehicle to begin repairs. If you run out of repair kits, you can request Supply Tanks to deliver more kits, allowing you to continue repairing your vehicle.
It is important to note that if your vehicle catches fire and explodes, it will be rendered unusable. Additionally, leaving your repairman vulnerable while working on your vehicle is a risky move. Repairing a vehicle takes time, and if the area is not secure, you may need to deploy other military units to protect the repairman or wait for the threat to pass. To avoid such complications, employ strategic vehicle placement and maintain a safe distance during engagements. Blindly rushing into battle can result in costly mistakes, as I learned through firsthand experience.
