If you’re a fan of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun’s retro-inspired first-person shooting action, then you’re in for a treat. Developer Auroch Digital and publisher Focus Entertainment have announced that a new expansion called Forges of Corruption is set to release on 18th June.


What to Expect in Forges of Corruption?


Forges of Corruption will feature a brand-new campaign that spans across five new environments. The three environments revealed so far are the Graia Battlefields, Manufactorum, and the Daemonic Forge infested with heretics. Players can also look forward to facing new enemies in these dangerous settings, including the Black Havok Legion, Helbrute, and Terminator with its Lighting Claw. Additionally, the expansion introduces two new weapons – the Multi-Melta and Missile Launcher.

The Forges of Corruption expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will be available on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC starting 18th June. Alongside the expansion, a new Forges of Corruption Edition will bundle the base game and DLC at a reduced price. Players can also expect a free update that introduces a new Horde mode with four difficulty levels, achievements, a navigation guide, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements. Additionally, Boltgun is currently on sale with discounts ranging from 25-40 percent across all platforms.


Eurogamer Review of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun


Eurogamer contributor Rick Lane gave a positive three-star review of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. He praised the game for its ability to provide an excellent shooting experience with various weapons. While acknowledging areas for improvement, Lane stated that Boltgun serves as a satisfying precursor to the highly anticipated Space Marine 2.
