Changing your name in Wuthering Waves is a simple process that can be done quickly and easily. All you need to do is access the menu and click on the pencil icon next to your current name.
The change will take effect immediately, whether you are playing solo or in co-op mode. However, it’s important to note that while your name will be updated, in-game characters will still refer to you as Rover. Unfortunately, you won’t get the humorous Fallout 4-style dialogue where characters call you funny names. Keep in mind that the game does not allow curse words, although there may be some slip-ups in certain languages.
If you prefer to change your name through a different method, you can also click on the three vertical dots located next to your avatar on the same screen. This will allow you to not only alter your name but also change your avatar, sigil, birthday, and even add a biography.
As of the game’s launch, there is no option to change your character’s gender in Wuthering Waves. While this feature may be added in future updates, for now, if you wish to adjust your character’s gender, you will need to create a new account.
It’s worth noting that the difference between male and female characters in the game seems to be purely aesthetic. Both genders have the same abilities and characteristics, so your choice of gender is based on personal preference.
