The Latest on the New Astro Bot Game
A new Astro Bot game is set to be revealed in the next two weeks, as per a trusted PlayStation insider. The unveiling is expected to take place at the long-awaited PlayStation Showcase, originally rumored to happen this month but now possibly postponed to early June.
The new game may just be called “Astro Bot”
While the exact title of the game has not been confirmed, reputable PlayStation leaker billbil-kun suggests that it will likely be named simply “Astro Bot.” Although no specific release date has been disclosed, previous speculations point to a potential launch sometime this year.
Rumors indicate that Team ASOBI is behind the development of this new game. Fans are eager for a full-scale Astro Bot adventure, but details are scarce. What we do know is that the game will feature a desert setting and introduce several new characters, including a fennec fox robot bearing similarities to the beloved Astro character.
Unlike the previous Astro Bot game, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, which was exclusive to PSVR, this upcoming installment is said to be available exclusively for PS5 and will not require a PSVR 2 headset.
The unveiling of Astro Bot is anticipated to coincide with the official reveal of Firewalk Studios’ PS5 exclusive Concord at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase. While there were initial speculations of a reveal on May 28 or May 29, recent developments suggest a potential delay to early June, possibly tied to a new promotion on the PlayStation Store.
