Publisher Nordcurrent Labs and emerging developer River End Games have announced Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, a narrative-focused stealth-strategy adventure game set to launch next year. This exciting reveal took place during the Future Game Show Summer Showcase, showcasing Eriksholm, a game developed by a team with experience in popular titles like Battlefield, Mirror’s Edge, Little Nightmares, and Unravel.

Eriksholm: A Nordic-Inspired Adventure

Immerse yourself in the fictional city of Eriksholm, drawing inspiration from a Nordic aesthetic of the early 1900s. The game follows three protagonists who join forces to challenge their oppressors. In the reveal trailer, we catch a glimpse of one of these protagonists, Hanna, a young orphan on a quest to find her brother Herman. Hanna’s journey leads her to become a reluctant hero, igniting a spark of change as she and her friends rise from the slums of Eriksholm.

Through Eriksholm’s top-down 3D perspective, players will guide the three protagonists through the city’s streets and tunnels, utilizing their unique skills, tools, and weapons to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. River End Games promises players the freedom to manipulate the in-game camera, survey their surroundings, strategize, and execute their plans with precision.
