What is NYT Connections?

NYT Connections is a popular word game series created by the New York Times. It challenges players to identify groups of four items that share a commonality. The difficulty levels vary, with green being easier, yellow more challenging, blue quite tough, and purple very difficult.

Players are allowed up to four mistakes and can eliminate the final connection by process of elimination. The game can be more complex than Wordle, with potential traps such as homophones and word games that obscure the answers.

You can play NYT Connections for free on the NYT Games website via desktop or mobile.
