How to Tame Animals in Soulmask
To maximize the benefits of capturing animals in Soulmask, it is crucial to follow these steps carefully:
Build a Trap
To initiate the taming process, the first step is to construct a “Building Workshop.” Once completed, interact with it to access all the craftable recipes. Begin by creating traps.
Focusing on crafting Small Traps is ideal for capturing young Turkeys, Parrots, or Monkeys. Opt for Medium Traps to capture animals like Alpacas, Llamas, Jaguars, Capybaras, or Snow Leopards.
Build a Shelter
Following the trap construction, the next task is to build a pen or coop for the captured animals. Players can construct a Turkey Coop for Turkeys and a Capybara Pen for Capybaras.
For Parrots, a Parrot Rack must be crafted. After completing these structures, along with the traps, animals can be captured as desired.
Capturing Animals Using Traps
Utilize either the Small Traps or Medium Traps, constructed based on the animal you wish to capture, and position them along their typical path. Place food items as bait to entice them into the trap.
Alpacas and Capybaras favor fruits and pumpkins, while Parrots and Turkeys prefer corn or corn flour. Once the bait is set, move away and conceal yourself. Avoid hiding near the trap to prevent spooking the animals.
After waiting, check if any targeted animals have been ensnared in the trap. Once caught, relocate them to the designated pens. It is essential to regularly supply them with water and food by filling their troughs.
