Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Fighters Leak

Exciting New Additions to Mortal Kombat 1

NetherRealm Studios has some exciting news for Mortal Kombat 1 fans, with six new DLC fighters on the horizon. Recent data mining has uncovered files hinting at not only new fighters, but also two new arenas and five announcers.

Who are the new Mortal Kombat 1 fighters?

A well-known data miner by the name of Interloko has shared the details in a recent YouTube video. Among the new Mortal Kombat 1 DLC characters are three returning favorites: Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot. Additionally, three crossover fighters will be making their debut: Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, and T-1000. While information on the new arenas is scarce, clues within the game files suggest that they are indeed on the way. As for the new announcers, expect to hear Havik, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, Conan, and T-1000.

Cyrax and Sektor are no strangers to the Mortal Kombat universe, having appeared as Kameo characters in MK 1. This leak could indicate that they will now be fully playable fighters. Meanwhile, Noob Saibot is the ominous wraith version of Sub-Zero, first introduced in Mortal Kombat 2.

For fans of the crossover characters, the arrival of T-1000 will surely be a highlight. This shape-shifting liquid metal android from Terminator 2 made waves last October when voice actor Andrew Morgado accidentally revealed the news. With Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 already in Mortal Kombat 11, fans can only imagine the epic showdown that could have been.

Conan the Barbarian’s inclusion in Mortal Kombat 1 is exciting for fans as well. While Schwarzenegger’s portrayal is iconic, the character existed long before the 1982 film. Nevertheless, NetherRealm’s decision to feature him suggests that they may have secured the likeness rights to the popular actor.

Lastly, Ghostface, known from the Scream franchise, was previously mentioned in a Mortal Kombat 1 data mine. Game Director Ed Boon had also hinted at the character’s potential inclusion. While lacking the supernatural abilities of some horror villains, if the Joker can hold his own in MK 11, Ghostface should have no trouble.
