Chained Together is highly entertaining in VR thanks to Praydog’s UEVR mod

Praydog’s UEVR Mod Enhances VR Experience for Chained Together

Praydog’s UEVR mod has taken the gaming world by storm with its incredible ability to bring a fully playable VR mode to popular games like Chained Together. While it may not be compatible with every Unreal Engine 4/5 game, the impact it had on Chained Together is undeniable. In this week’s VR Corner, we delve into how this mod transformed the game into a virtual reality masterpiece.

Although the mod doesn’t offer motion controls or a first-person viewpoint, the immersive 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) VR experience greatly enhances the sense of distance, depth, and scale in Chained Together. This made it much easier to navigate and judge the jumps between obstacles compared to playing in the traditional flat mode. The VR mod even supports online co-op gameplay, as demonstrated by the hilarious antics of Jim Trinca and myself as we tackled the challenges of Hell together.
