Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Release Date Delayed to Avoid Life Is Strange

The updated release date for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

Don’t Nod has decided to push back the release date for their highly anticipated narrative adventure game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. The decision was made in order to avoid overlapping with the upcoming release of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, which is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2024. By delaying the release, Lost Records will now have its own time to shine.

What to expect from Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is now slated for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in early 2025. The developer made this decision after carefully analyzing industry trends and developments. The game will be split into two parts, with the second part following a month after the initial release. This marks a departure from the previously announced late 2024 release window.

Oskar Guilbert, CEO of Don’t Nod, reassured fans by stating, “We understand that many fans are eagerly anticipating the release of this game, just as they are looking forward to the next Life is Strange installment. By giving both titles their own space, we hope to provide the best experience for our players within our community. We believe that the wait for Bloom & Rage will be rewarded with an incredible adventure that will stand out in the DON’T NOD universe.”

In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, players will dive into Don’t Nod’s new Lost Records universe, set in the fictional town of Velvet Cove during the summer of 1995. The story revolves around four high school friends – Swann, Nora, Autumn, and Kat – as they navigate a pivotal summer together. Players will step into the shoes of Swann, who documents their adventures through her camcorder.

As the story unfolds, a series of events lead to a life-changing moment that impacts them all. They make a pact to never see or speak to each other again, but fate intervenes 27 years later, forcing a reunion and a confrontation of their buried secrets. Players will have the opportunity to shape the narrative in both 1995 and 2022, creating a unique and immersive gameplay experience.
