Exclusive First Look at New Tracks

The new update, Secrets of the Machine God, not only introduces quality-of-life improvements and new content like weapons and missions but also unveils a fresh lineup of music. Composer Jesper Kyd shares insights into the creative process behind the new tracks, revealing the inspiration behind the music in the latest update.

“For Secrets of the Machine God, FatShark wanted music that embodied the Mechanicus order. I utilized a vintage Roland vocoder to create a unique sound that symbolizes the machine spirit element in the music,” Kyd explains. The track ‘The Machine Spirit’ is a spiritual and haunting piece that adds a layer of mystique to the game.

Immersive Soundscapes

Two tracks from the upcoming Volume 3, ‘The Machine Spirit’ and ‘Reactivation’, showcase the diverse range of sounds in the game. ‘The Machine Spirit’ sets a moody tone that perfectly complements the grim environment of Darktide, while ‘Reactivation’ features rhythmic clunks and clangs that heighten the tension as players navigate through the game.

Players can look forward to experiencing these captivating tracks as they explore the metallic structures of Tertium and unravel the mysteries within.
