Publisher Playtonic Friends Reveals New Simulation Game, Cattle Country
Publisher Playtonic Friends, known for Yooka-Laylee, and Blossom Tales developer Castle Pixel have teamed up to introduce Cattle Country, a simulation game that blends elements of Stardew Valley with the Wild West. The first trailer, unveiled by IGN, showcases a promising gaming experience for fans of farming and town-building sims.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the exciting features of Cattle Country, including ranching, treasure hunting, mining, farming, and romantic pursuits. While the game is set to release on PC in the future, there is currently no confirmed release date. The Steam listing for Cattle Country simply states that the release date is “to be announced.”

Notably, the Cattle Country reveal trailer is narrated by Roger Clark, the voice actor behind Red Dead Redemption 2’s Arthur Morgan.
“Cattle Country combines cozy, wholesome gaming with action-adventure elements,” reads the game’s description on Steam. Players can expect hours of frontier life experiences, from mining and fishing to crafting and farming, as well as engaging Wild West quests encompassing romance, cattle drives, bandits, and robberies.
