Fortnite’s storm circles are getting nerfed because they’re too fast

Epic Games Addresses Fortnite Storm Circle Speed Complaints

Epic Games has made adjustments to the speed of the storm circles in the latest Chapter 5 Season 1: Underground release of Fortnite, following feedback from players. The update introduced new features such as new sights to explore, a train spanning the entire island, five bosses, and the addition of Peter Griffin from Family Guy.

However, players quickly noticed that the storm circle was closing in much faster than before, prompting complaints on platforms like Reddit. One user pointed out that they were often forced to run from the storm even in the early stages of the game, which was not the case in previous seasons. There were also reports of the storm circle spawning too far away from the final battle, making it impossible for players to reach it in time.

In response to the feedback, Epic Games made a balancing update to address the issue. Storm Circles one and two will now take 20 seconds longer to close, providing players with more time to escape the storm. The Fortnite Status account confirmed the update in a recent Twitter post, assuring players that they will continue to monitor data and make further changes if necessary.
