The Sony State of Play 2023 event announced the Baldur’s Gate 3 release date through a new trailer. Larian Studio confirmed that the game will come to PC and other modern platforms this August. In addition to giving us a release date, Larian announced that there would be two editions of the game. Players can get the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Editions when the game launches.

In December 2022, Baldur’s Gate 3 was confirmed for an August 2023 release window. Since October 2020, the game has been in early access.
In addition to revealing Baldur’s Gate 3 release date, the studio also announced a few extra content packages for fans. The Digital Deluxe version of Baldur’s Gate 3 comes with a few extra digital bonuses. These include the DnD sheets for specific characters, a digital OST, and an art book. The Digital Deluxe version also comes with some in-game content, including special Bard songs, artifacts, and paintings.

For those who want to get the Collector’s Edition, they’ll get everything the Digital Deluxe Edition has and more. Extra items include a cloth map, a statue of a Mind Flayer and drow having a brawl, and a physical art book.
During the trailer, Larian Studios highlighted split-screen multiplayer, general gameplay, and J.K. Simmons, who voices one of the antagonists, General Ketheric Thorm. Larian Studios will reveal two more antagonists at a later date, so fans should keep an eye out for more news.
While not everything about the game is set in stone, interested players should prepare themselves for Baldur’s Gate 3‘s August 31 release date on PC.
