Diablo 4: How to play couch co-op
Playing couch co-op in the Diablo 4 Beta is much more streamlined and simple to do. The only issue, like me, I had to go out of my way to figure out how to do it.
Note that this can only be done on consoles. For PC users, you only have the online option to play the Diablo 4 Beta.
The first step is that each player must be signed in to their respective console account. Meaning if you’re playing on an Xbox console, both players have to be signed in to their Microsoft account. The next step is that both players needs to link their console profile to Battle.net. If your second player doesn’t have an account, setting up one is simple and free. The final step is both players need to finish the rather short prologue separately. After that, you and your friend can enjoy the first act of Diablo 4 together.
After you’ve set up couch co-op in the Open Beta, let’s send a request to your teammate. To start, boot up the Diablo 4 Beta. After you have done the steps above, you should see a prompt at the bottom right-hand of the screen.
Jumping in and out of co-op is also fairly simple, the second player will just need to log in again.

Benefits of couch co-op
One of the main aspects of playing this way is that many of the harder in-game events are manageable. If you opt to play the Diablo 4 Beta hardcore mode, which makes everything even more dangerous, and if you die, you lose everything. Playing co-op may make this mode easier.
You also get experience points boots with a 10 % bonus per kill. So, if you are playing in a harder mode with a teammate, getting to the level cap of 25 can be quick.
