Bungie Is Revitalizing Its Old Shooter Series, Marathon

Bungie, the video game company best known for creating Halo and Destiny, is taking a trip down memory lane by bringing back one of its original hits: Marathon.

Originally released in 1994 for the Apple Macintosh, Marathon was a first-person shooter that followed a space-faring security officer in their fight against an alien invasion. The game spawned two sequels, with the third installment launching in 1996. The new Marathon game will also be a first-person shooter, but details such as a release date have not yet been revealed. Despite the lack of information, the game’s screenshots show that it will have a vivid and unique aesthetic.
