Microsoft cheekily highlights how many PlayStation Showcase games will also be on Xbox

Microsoft has a sense of humor when it comes to the recently concluded PlayStation Showcase. The company took a jab at the fact that many of the showcase’s big announcements were also games that players can enjoy on Xbox Series X/S. Titles such as MGS3 remake Metal Gear Solid Delta, Bungie’s new Marathon project, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Alan Wake 2, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 were all mentioned in the tweet by Microsoft. Although these games weren’t showcased with Xbox logos in their trailers, players can still enjoy them on Xbox.

The tweet, posted right after Sony’s show finished, is a playful way for Microsoft to show how much of the PlayStation Showcase will be available on other consoles. Many games showcased during the event will also be playable on Xbox. The EA-published magic FPS Immortals of Aveum, Ghostrunner 2, Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean, voxel destruction game Teardown, eye-catching indie The Plucky Squire, The Talos Principle 2, and Neva, the next project from the creator of Gris, will all be available for Xbox players.

There will be some games, however, that Xbox players won’t be able to play. Colourful heist shooter Fairgame$, which is from the recent PlayStation Studios inductee Haven, won’t be coming to Xbox. Helldivers 2, which looks to be published by PlayStation itself, won’t be available on Xbox either. Final Fantasy 16, a major console exclusive from Square Enix, is yet another one that Xbox players won’t get to play. Foamstars, a game that looks like it’s inspired by Splatoon and is also from Square Enix, will be exclusive to PlayStation. And lastly, Spider-Man 2 will be exclusive to PlayStation.
