If you’re playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you might have noticed that there aren’t many weapon options for a mystical approach. But if you’re looking for a powerful weapon made from magic, then you should get a Magic Rod in the game. Our guide below will show you how to get it.

Get Your Magic On

Producing a Magic Rod involves combining it with precious stones, such as a Ruby or Sapphire. We’ll show you a few ways to get a Magic Rod in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

If you’re lucky, you might come across a Magic Rod by defeating a Wizzrobe enemy in the game. Wizzrobes are masters of elemental magic, and if you are quick enough, you will be able to hit and defeat them when they appear. See the image above to learn how they look like.

However, getting a Magic Rod from a Wizzrobe is quite rare, and the fights can be tough if you’re not prepared. Defeating these enemies is not advisable unless you’re confident enough in your abilities.

A reliable method to get the Magic Rod is to obtain it from the Bargainer Statue, which you can find in various locations. You must first search for a statue and pay your respects to it by praying. Once you do that, the statue’s location is marked on your map, and you can get the Magic Rod from it.

You’ll need to give Poe Souls to the Bargainer Statue before it hands over the Magic Rod. You can obtain these Souls by exploring the Depths in the game, where you will find them scattered all over the place. These Souls will help you purchase Dark Clump and armor, making the game easier to play.

Note, Poe Souls are not in shortage, and you can get them over time. You don’t need to worry about running out if you explore the Depths thoroughly. In case you don’t feel like venturing underground, you can find a Bargainer Statue in Robbie’s building, Lookout Landing. You can exchange Poe Souls there, but you cannot purchase a Magic Rod there.

If you’re having trouble finding more Bargainer Statues underground, you can always pay the statue in Lookout Landing to point you in the right direction.

Enjoy playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is now available on Nintendo Switch.
