In this article, we’ll share everything you need to know to catch some Stealthfin Trout.

Tears of the Kingdom – where to find Stealthfin Trout

If you come across any fish in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom while controlling Link, chances are high that you’re probably going to stick it on a skewer. Not only can you enjoy these dishes as a means to restore your health, but using mushrooms and other ingredients can also generate extra effects. That’s why Stealthfin Trout is a catch you won’t want to miss!

The best spot for Stealthfin Trout is located in the southern region of the Great Hyrule Forest. There’s a large lake to the north of Rauru Hillside, and as you stand on higher points of the lake’s south shore, you’ll see schools of fish swimming below. Use your glider to land in the lake, grab as many as you can, and prepare to cook a delicious meal. Unlike rivers, there’s no real current here. Additionally, if you move to the western area of the lake, you can use boards to create a makeshift raft, which is beneficial for exploring all areas of the lake (refer to the location on the map below).

Head to the lake at night if you want to catch a lot of Stealthfin Trout quickly; these fish give off a slight glow in the dark, which makes them easy to spot. But how did they get the name ‘Stealthfin Trout’, you ask? The answer is, they’re not really stealthy at all!

To reach the lake, travel from the Woodland Stable location and follow the path that goes north through Minshi Woods. Then, right before the entrance to the bigger forest area, turn west. If you don’t want to stop at the shore often, grab some supplies to refill your stamina, but this isn’t necessary. Personally, I enjoy swimming out from the shore and catching multiple fish at once, and you certainly won’t have any trouble finding them.
