Bungie’s Season of the Deep has arrived, bringing with it a new six-player activity called Salvage and a serene fishing spot for relaxing. The season’s deep-sea theme offers a plethora of new content, including a weekly mission, Legendary cosmetics, weapons, Exotic items, and more. The Deep Dive weekly mission allows Guardians to explore the methane seas of Titan and salvage the power they need to communicate with Ahsa, a creature that lingers in the Titan’s depths. For players looking for quick games and unpredictable encounters, Salvage features matchmaking for Guardians interested in recovering Golden Age tech from sunken Arcology structures on the Titan seafloor where they will face Fallen, Hive, and Taken combatants. Season of the Deep also introduces new armor pieces for each class – Triton Vice for Hunters, Arbor Warden for Titans, and Cenotaph Mask for Warlocks, as well as the Seasonal Exotic Auto Rifle, Centrifuse. Along with the new Exotics, players can also acquire new Legendary weapons and armor, which can be acquired by merely playing the game and dropping in activities. Bungie has partnered with PlayStation to include new armor ornament sets and finishers, inspired by iconic video game characters like Kratos, Aloy, Jin Sakai, and Clickers, among others, as part of their PlayStation partnership. Destiny 2: Season of the Deep is now available for free download, and players can try the first mission of the season for free. If they like what they see and want to explore the new season, they can purchase the season pass and enjoy the next three months of content, along with the instantly unlocked Seasonal Exotic.
