In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Holotactics is a mini-game that players can enjoy. Holotactics may sound familiar to those who have watched the original Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope; it’s the game Luke and Chewbacca played aboard the Millennium Falcon. In the game, it’s your task to beat a lineup of opponents in Holotactics to receive various rewards. However, one opponent, Tulakt, is no pushover. Tulakt is the third opponent in the game, and it can be tough to beat. Here, we have prepared a lineup to beat each wave with reasonable success.
How to Beat Tulakt in Jedi: Survivor Holotactics
Coming up with the perfect combination of units in Holotactics isn’t easy, but using this lineup, you can easily beat Tulakt. Remember though, that the units behave differently each time, so we can only guarantee that it will work most of the time, allowing you to beat Tulakt in less than three tries.
Wave 1
Select a Purge Trooper Ranged Commander and place them on the back row on the far left square. Next, place two BD-1 Melee droids on the front row on the two right-most squares. These melee units will draw attention and allow the Purge Trooper to eliminate or knock down the enemy units and then mop up as the BD-1s are defeated. The success rate of this combination is about 70%, and four points are retained for the next wave. If you fail, however, the BD-2 can cause trouble. In that case, try this setup again.
Wave 2
For this wave, the Rawka birds do the heavy lifting. Place them adjacent to the Bedlam Raiders. The charge attack allows the Rawka to knock out the Bedlam Raiders instantaneously. Next, place two Stormtroopers at the far ends on the front row to create a crossfire and increase their likeliness to fire their blasters. Lastly, place two BD-1 droids in the middle slot on the front and back row. These will act as the final wave and clear out the remaining BD-1 droids along with Stormtrooper fire support. This selection quickly beats the enemy if things go well, but weird things can happen. The success rate is roughly 60-70%, and you may fail if the Rawka misses the Bedlam Raiders or gets shot immediately.
Wave 3
The strategy for this wave relies on a crossfire from two Heavy Stormtroopers at the back row on flank positions. You’ll also make use of a Rawka again, though you can use two just like in the previous round (one for each Bedlam Raider). Add two Scout Troopers to the flanks of the front row. These will slow down the Bedlam Raider without immediately dying to blaster fire from the Commando droid like BD-1 melee units do. Meanwhile, the Heavy Stormtroopers will riddle everything with blaster fire, and the BD-1 will act as a distraction for enemies for the Heavy Stormtroopers. The success rate is slightly higher, but weird things can happen in Holotactics as it simulates the same combat units Cal fights in the actual game. While there are likely better Holotactics strategies with 100% success rates, this is one way how to beat Tulakt so you can switch back to the main story in Jedi: Survivor if the mini-games aren’t your thing.
In addition to this guide on beating Tulakt, we also have other Jedi: Survivor guides like how to beat Caij in Holotactics, how to unlock the Jukebox for Greez’s cantina, and how to open the Chamber of Reason if you’re caught up on those challenges.
