Complete the A Wife Wafted Away Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom
If you’re playing the newest game in The Legend of Zelda franchise and are looking for a side quest to complete, we’ve got you covered. Each region in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has several side quests to do. If you visit an area and find that there aren’t any challenges available, come back later. There might be a whole new selection of stories to explore. Let’s take a look at how to complete the A Wife Wafted Away side quest in the game.
The Quest
You’ll first meet Fronk in front of the Inn located near the center of Zora’s Domain. He doesn’t have much to say when you first meet him. However, that changes after clearing the Sidon of the Zora story mission. This mission requires you to figure out how to turn on all four faucets in the Water Temple. When you return, Fronk will fill you in on the sudden disappearance of his beloved Mei. Your job is to find Mei and complete the A Wife Wafted Away side quest. You need to travel to the sky islands.

How to Find Mei
If you want to find Mei quickly, you should fast travel to the Igoshen Shrine. You should have activated it while ascending to the Water Temple. From where you first appear after you fast travel, head forward, veering slightly to the left. Pass the stairs ascending to your right and walk to the edge of the platform. Ahead, you will see a large island at lower elevation. If you visit during the day, you’ll see an obvious column of smoke rising from behind a pillar. Jump out and float across to that island. The precise location is indicated in the map screenshot above.

When you reach the island, look around the pillar to find Mei standing near a small fishing pond. There are Hearty Bass swimming in the shallow water. Talk to Mei, and she will overcome her excitement long enough to feel bad about making her husband worry. Then she’ll head back to reunite with Fronk.
Finishing the Quest
To finish the quest, travel back to the surface, and meet with Fronk again in Zora Domain. You’ll find him standing near Mei. She’ll give you the Hearty Fish Skewer as a reward. Also, the game marks the A Wife Wafted Away side quest as complete.
