Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Pre-registration Available Ahead of Release

Square Enix’s much-awaited Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is now available for pre-registration ahead of its release later this year. The announcement was made at Summer Games Fest 2023 and came with a new trailer that showcases the art style and battle systems of the game.

Compilation of Final Fantasy VII Stories in One Place

Ever Crisis will collect all of the stories that are included in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, a subseries of Final Fantasy VII that expands the franchise’s world. This subseries features games that are not available worldwide, including Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the movie. The game will allow players to experience the entire series in one place and will be released episodically, starting with Final Fantasy VII and its prequel Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. In addition to these, the game will feature original content that will explore the background of the world and its characters including Sephiroth, the series’ main antagonist.

Unique Opportunities for US and Canada Android Users

Android users in the USA and Canada who pre-register for the game will be able to participate in the closed beta test which is scheduled from July 6 to July 14. Pre-registered users across all platforms will also receive numerous bonuses when the game is released.

Square Enix’s Future Plans

Since its release in 1997, Final Fantasy VII has been one of the most popular games in the Final Fantasy franchise, instantly recognized by fans worldwide. Ever Crisis will provide players a unique chance to explore lesser-known subseries games for the first time. Although Square Enix’s several underperforming games, including Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier (a battle royale title), have been closed in the past, there is currently no reason to expect Ever Crisis to underperform. With the original Final Fantasy VII director Tetsuya Nomura on board, it is clear that the company has invested significant resources into its development. Regardless, there are no guarantees that Ever Crisis will meet Square Enix’s high standards.
