Knockabout co-op removals game Moving Out is getting a sequel in August

Moving Out, the popular co-op removals game developed by SMG Studio, is getting a highly anticipated sequel. This new installment, set to launch on August 15th, will introduce online cross-play multiplayer for the first time. Players will be able to enjoy the game on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC platforms.

The original Moving Out game was released in 2020 and offered a unique take on the furniture removal process. Just like Overcooked added chaos to culinary creation, Moving Out brought a chaotic and entertaining twist to moving furniture. While it may not have reached the same level of excellence as Overcooked, as noted by Eurogamer’s Christian Donlan in his review, it was still a standout title.

Building upon the strong foundation of the original game, Moving Out 2 takes players on an exciting journey beyond their own dimension. They will explore a series of wildly different universes as the Furniture Arrangement and Relocation Technicians (F.A.R.Ts). The sequel promises an array of new levels, puzzles, and characters, as well as the addition of an Assist mode. Whether playing solo or with friends, both local and cross-play enabled online co-op options are available.
