Blasphemous 2 PS4 Version Announced

The Upcoming Blasphemous 2 PS4 Port: Coming Soon!

The highly anticipated announcement of Blasphemous 2 left fans excited for the sequel, but there was a catch – initially, only a PlayStation 5 version was mentioned. However, to the delight of many fans, the developer, The Game Kitchen, has confirmed that a Blasphemous 2 PS4 version is also in the works.

In a recent update on Twitter, The Game Kitchen announced that they have started working on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Although an exact release date has not been provided, it is expected to be available sometime in the fall. The question of whether the PS4 and PS5 versions will be bundled together remains unanswered.

It is worth noting that the first installment of Blasphemous was already released on PlayStation 4 in 2019. Since Blasphemous 2 is also set to make its way to the Nintendo Switch alongside the more advanced platforms, it is possible that the delay in the PS4 release is due to resource allocation rather than the console’s age.

Interestingly, there have been a few games that have debuted on the current generation platforms before their last-gen counterparts. This unconventional trend includes games such as Metal: Hellsinger, Tormented Souls, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and the Destroy All Humans 2 remake.
