Playdigious Appoints Abrial Da Costa as CEO
Playdigious, a leading mobile gaming company, has recently announced the appointment of Abrial Da Costa as its new CEO. This move comes after eight years of consistent growth and coincides with the launch of Playdigious Originals, the company’s new label.
Da Costa brings over 20 years of industry experience to the role. He previously served as the CEO and owner of developer Digital Lounge since 2010, and as the chief business officer of developer Don’t Nod since 2014. Don’t Nod is best known for the Life is Strange franchise. Da Costa’s appointment reflects the mobile gaming sector’s ability to attract top talent. His goal is to leverage his expertise to oversee Playdigious’ operations, drive innovation, and foster partnership activities.
Transition Period
Da Costa’s appointment marks a time of transition for Playdigious. Co-founder Xavier Liard will now serve as the senior strategy advisor for Playdigious’ parent company, Fragbite Group. Meanwhile, co-founder and CTO Romain Tisserand will lead Playdigious’ new research and development department.
“After almost nine years leading Don’t Nod’s business strategy and taking part in its IPO as well as three strategic capital rounds, I’m proud to be joining Fragbite Group,” said Da Costa. “I was lucky enough to work with Romain and Xavier many years ago, and since the creation of Playdigious, I’ve admired the colossal amount of work done by them and their team. I am really looking forward to taking the company to the next level and contribute to Fragbite Group’s growth.”
Xavier Liard expressed his pride and excitement for the future, stating, “It is with great pride that Romain and I hand over the reins to Abrial and usher in a new era for Playdigious.
