The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Where to Find Electric Keese
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll come across various familiar enemies, including Electric Keese. These bats, commonly seen in the NES version of The Legend of Zelda, play a more significant role in the new game. You can combine their parts with weapons or use them to upgrade powerful armor. However, finding certain variations of Electric Keese can be challenging. To assist you in your search, here is a guide on where to find Electric Keese in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Finding Electric Keese in Gerudo Desert and the Depths
When encountering an Electric Keese, their powerful charge will shock you and potentially cause you to drop any metal weapon you’re carrying. These enemies can be particularly dangerous in the early stages of the game.
To locate Electric Keese, your best bet is to search in the Gerudo Desert region or explore the Depths. You’ll find a few of these bats in the Gerudo Desert, although they can also be found in limited other locations throughout the overworld and in caves, which are ideal for farming purposes.
Before embarking on your hunt for Electric Keese, it’s advisable to obtain the rubber armor set. By having a Great Fairy add two upgrades to this set, you’ll gain the Lightning Proof set bonus, which will protect you from electricity-based attacks. Failing to equip this powered set may result in significant damage, even when attacking the bats from what seems like a safe distance.
Farming Electric Keese on Cuho Mountain
A surprisingly great location for farming Electric Keese enemies is Cuho Mountain, located south of Rito Village. This area is also known for Tabantha Wheat farming. Look out for a Wizzrobe enemy guarding a hillside and attacking with electricity. The Wizzrobe also summons electric-based enemies, including Electric Keese, to fight alongside it. For optimal farming, leave the Wizzrobe alive and focus on eliminating the bats as they appear. It’s essential to use wooden weapons and gear to counter the localized storm created by the Wizzrobe. Eventually, the Wizzrobe will stop summoning allies.
Finding Electric Keese in Gerudo Desert
In the Gerudo Desert region, Electric Keese can be found flying around at night. These bats appear as floating yellow orbs from a distance. Once you’ve cleared the Lightning Temple and eliminated the sandstorm, they become easier to locate. However, Electric Keese are not commonly found. To hunt them in the desert, fast travel to the Soryotanog Shrine above Gerudo Town during the nighttime. Then, head northeast from the city to find a bat. If you’re limited to using metal weapons, employ a bow and attack from a distance. A single arrow can take out a bat and reduce the risk of electrical damage. Keep in mind that wearing appropriate armor is essential in the desert to maintain the necessary warmth or coolness.
Finding Electric Keese in the Depths
The Depths are another place where you may encounter Electric Keese. These underground areas emit a glow, making the bats hard to miss as they circle enemy encampments. However, be cautious as they are usually accompanied by other distracting mobs. Make sure your armor is adequately upgraded, and always carry healing items.
