Firewall Ultra Release Date Revealed for Tactical PSVR2 Shooter, Pre-Orders Now Live

The Highly Anticipated Release of Firewall Ultra Approaches

After much anticipation, First Contact Entertainment has finally unveiled the official release date for Firewall Ultra, an exclusive PSVR2 game. The highly awaited title will be available for purchase on August 24, 2023, at a price of $39.99.

The Countdown Begins as the Release Date Coincides with the Series’ Fifth Anniversary

Interestingly, the launch of Firewall Ultra aligns perfectly with the fifth anniversary of the series. The original game, Firewall: Zero Hour, was released five years ago, and its tremendous success has paved the way for this enhanced installment. August 24 promises to be an exciting day for both long-time loyalists and newcomers.

To celebrate the release, First Contact Entertainment has also introduced a Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, priced at $59.99. This upgraded edition includes various perks such as four contractor outfits, early unlocks for four contractors, four weapon camos, and an enigmatic Operation Pass, providing access to future content. While specific details about the Operation Pass remain undisclosed, players who pre-order any edition will receive the exclusive Reaper X75 legendary weapon.

Pre-orders for Firewall Ultra are already live, accompanied by a recently released trailer highlighting the heart-pounding action players can expect. In addition, First Contact Entertainment published a blog post discussing the game in detail. The developer has expressed a commitment to listen to the community and explore the possibility of introducing additional content such as new weapons, contractors, maps, game modes, and the potential implementation of manual reloads, a feature requested by players.

Speaking of manual reloads, First Contact CEO Hess Barber remarked on the possibility of an extra hardcore mode after the game’s launch. This mode would include challenging elements such as friendly fire, the absence of aim assist, and manual reloads. While there have been no official updates regarding this hardcore mode, it has sparked considerable excitement and speculation among fans.

Firewall Ultra is designed to take full advantage of the advanced capabilities offered by PSVR2. The immersive experience includes features such as eye tracking, finger touch detection, adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, dynamic lighting and shadows, and an eagerly awaited PvE mode. Players can look forward to a follow-up announcement detailing the PvE mode in the near future.
