Contrary to what the title suggests with the “VI,” Fire of Rubicon actually serves as a reboot for the series. The storyline takes place on planet Rubicon, a once flourishing world now devastated by a disaster caused by its most precious resource, Coral. After years of abandonment, the contaminated planet becomes the center of attention again when Coral is rediscovered. This sparks a brutal war between different factions, including megacorporations and military forces. Players take on the role of the mercenary C4-621, also known as “Raven,” as they navigate this epic conflict. The trailer sets a somber tone, indicating that the battle for Rubicon will be a harrowing one.
