Upgrading the Ancient Hero’s Aspect Armor

In line with its status as the ultimate shrine reward, the Ancient Hero’s Aspect has more demanding upgrade requirements compared to other armor sets. To unlock all four upgrade tiers for this armor, you must gather Zonaite and a plethora of high-level monster parts. Additionally, the rupee cost for these upgrades is higher than normal, though it matches the total price of an average full armor set upgrade.

For the first upgrade tier, you’ll need 15 pieces of Zonaite, nine Silver Bokoblin Horns, nine Hinox Guts, and 30 rupees. This will increase the armor’s defense to 24. The second upgrade tier, which boosts the defense stat to 36, requires ten pieces of Large Zonaite, nine Silver Moblin Horns, nine Frox Guts, and 150 rupees. Moving on to the third upgrade, with a defense stat of 54, you’ll need 15 pieces of Large Zonaite, nine Silver Lizalfos Horns, nine Molduga Guts, and 600 rupees.

Finally, we have the fourth and highest upgrade tier, which elevates the Ancient Hero’s Aspect’s defense stat to an impressive 84. To attain this, you must obtain nine Silver Lynel Mace Horns, nine Silver Lynel Saber Horns, nine Gleeok Guts, and have 1,500 rupees at your disposal. It’s important to note that acquiring the relatively rare Guts drops will require you to face and defeat formidable high-level monsters and bosses. Decide for yourself whether the effort will be worth it.
