Customize Your Playstyle in Remnant 2

In Remnant 2, the power is in your hands to play the game your way. From speech choices to dungeon discoveries and load-outs, everything is fully customizable, offering a fresh gaming experience every time. As soon as you embark on your journey in Remnant 2, you’ll be presented with a crucial decision: selecting your Archetype. This choice determines your load-outs, perks, traits, and skills. However, there’s good news—you won’t be locked into this choice forever. Later in the game, you’ll have the opportunity to unlock a second archetype in Remnant 2. Here’s how you can make that happen.

How to Unlock the Second Archetype

Choosing an archetype can be a daunting task in Remnant 2, as it will shape your playstyle throughout your journey until level ten. However, once you accumulate ten trait points, a whole new possibility opens up—the chance to acquire a second archetype.

Once you reach the required level in Remnant 2, head over to the crane cabin beside the docks to find Wallace. Engage in a conversation with him, and he will grant you the ability to apply a second archetype. Keep in mind that simply reaching level ten is not enough; there are additional requirements.

Archetypes can be found scattered throughout the world. You can either purchase them from vendors or stumble upon them during your exploration. Once you obtain the archetype you desire to apply, return to Wallace in his crane. To complete the process, you’ll need to spend 1000 Scrap, ten Luminite crystals, and possess the chosen archetype.

The majority of starting archetypes can be acquired within the vicinity of Ward 13. Simply visit the vendors around the safe zone and purchase them for a modest amount of scrap. However, there are a few hidden and arguably superior archetypes waiting to be discovered. Obtaining them may prove more challenging, but the rewards in Remnant 2 make it well worth your time.
