To obtain the Iron Flask, head to the cave located in the northern part of Risen Road, east of Waukeen’s Rest. The cave is at coordinates X:36, Y:626.

The Iron Flask is stored in a locked strongbox. You can either use lockpicking tools or a weapon to break it open.

What to Do With the Iron Flask

Once you have the Iron Flask, you have several options:

  • Remove the stopper and fight the Spectator trapped inside.
  • Throw the Iron Flask at enemies to summon the Spectator.
  • Deliver the Iron Flask to Zarys at the Zhentarim Hideout.

The Spectator is a level 5 boss with 95 HP, making it a challenging early game encounter. Defeating it won’t grant you any rewards, but you’ll earn valuable experience.

Throwing the Iron Flask at enemies will release the Spectator, forcing you to defeat it.

It’s recommended to deliver the Iron Flask to Zarys at the Zhentarim Hideout without opening the strongbox. Giving her the Iron Flask directly will turn every NPC in the Hideout hostile. If you deliver it in the strongbox, you’ll receive the Harold crossbow and gain access to expanded stocks from the Hideout merchant.
