We have exciting news for all the players of Remnant 2! Developer Gunfire Games is working on implementing crossplay, allowing players from different platforms to play together. This means that the pool of potential co-op partners will significantly increase, providing a better multiplayer experience for everyone.
The confirmation comes directly from Remnant 2 director and Gunfire Games president, David Adams. During a recent AMA session on Reddit, Adams stated, “Yes, we are looking at it. There are issues with the different platforms and what they require in order to allow crossplay, but it is being actively worked on.”
Gunfire Games has been busy since the launch of Remnant 2. The game has already surpassed 1 million sales, which is a significant achievement. Additionally, the first major patch has been released, addressing performance and stability issues. Furthermore, the developers surprised players with a hidden secret class in the game’s code, specifically meant for data miners to discover.
Aside from these milestones, Remnant 2 has also received positive reviews from critics. Eurogamer contributor Vikki Blake praised the game in her 4/5 review, calling it an “ambitious sequel stuffed with delightful – and deadly – surprises.” She added, “All I want to do is get back in there and explore,” which demonstrates her enthusiasm for the game.
